Labels and sourcing
- Official source means the original government, office, speech, transcript, filing, or first-party publication.
- News report identifies independent reporting and never replaces an available primary record.
- Editorial analysis is the Vance Force desk’s interpretation and is labeled as analysis.
- Member opinion remains the member’s view and is not presented as staff reporting.
News articles require at least one visible HTTPS source. Quotations, dates, statistics, and claims about public activity should link to the closest available primary record.
JD Vance remains the center
Vance Force is the independent community brand. JD Vance is the editorial center. Donald Trump and Republican politics are covered when they have a substantive JD Vance connection. “2028” describes future-facing analysis unless an official candidacy is verified. “MAGA” is reserved for articles or debates directly examining Vance’s relationship to that movement; it is not our site identity.
Corrections and revision history
Material changes preserve an internal revision snapshot. Public corrections state what changed and why on the article itself. Silently changing a consequential fact is not permitted. Source substitutions and removals belong in the correction record.
Moderation, reports and appeals
Staff topics can be open, closed, or archived; may use slow mode; and identify an assigned moderator. Duplicate topics may be merged into a permanent canonical page. Moderators keep private notes separate from public explanations.
Reports should receive an initial review within 48 hours when staffing permits. Affected members may appeal a resolved moderation decision once. The appeal is reviewed with the original report, outcome, and staff note.
Safety and independence
Political violence, credible threats, targeted harassment, hateful dehumanization, doxxing, impersonation, automated abuse, and coordinated multi-account manipulation are prohibited. Support payments fund website operations only and are not campaign contributions. Staff records image provenance, licensing, and descriptive alternative text before publication.
